I want to know more about my health Insurance policy?
Answer
RRC Polytech provides all international students with access to an affordable, comprehensive, and easy-to-use health plan. The International Emergency Health Insurance Plan is issued through Gallivan: Student Health and Wellness https://www.gallivan.ca/ and is managed by the RRC Polytech Students' Association. This plan offers benefits similar to Manitoba Health coverage.
College-issued health insurance coverage is mandatory while you are enrolled in your studies at RRC Polytech. Your insurance fees are part of your RRC Polytech fees and will be automatically charged to your student account.
Gallivan provides 12-month insurance policies to all international students and 4-month gap insurance policies for international students whose programs extend beyond the 12-month insurance coverage period (students will be notified if this additional coverage period applies to their programs).
Can I opt-out my international emergency health insurance?
Health insurance coverage is mandatory while you finish your studies at RRC Polytech. You can opt-out only after you have for Manitoba Health coverage of your own or through a spouse.
