The repatriation insurance is mandatory if you have opted out of the International Insurance plan with your Manitoba Health coverage but are still completing your studies at the College.
In the unfortunate event that someone dies while outside their home country, repatriation of remains insurance arranges for the return of that person’s remains to his or her country of origin. Repatriation can be a logistical challenge involving multiple organizations and governments—both domestically and abroad—and the costs can run from $5,000–$15,000. This plan offers multilingual assistance to family or friends who are charged with carrying out this difficult task.
