How do I book study space in the Library? On campus?

Why can I see the study room booking schedule if I can't book these spaces?

Can I reserve a space for my group to meet?

I need a quiet space for a phone call / online meeting...

Answer

In the Notre Dame Campus (NDC) Library

There are two types of spaces at the NDC Library:

1) Study Rooms (A-E) are booked for 1:1 appointments and drop-in helpdesks by Library staff. If the A-E Study rooms aren't reserved for Library use, the space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis to other Library users.

NOTE: The Study Room booking schedule (link) is visible so Library users can plan ahead and know when they may be asked vacate these spaces for tutoring or academic coaching purposes.

2) The Quiet Pods (1-3) (Farmery Q) are intended to be used for brief periods--ideal for private phone calls or video interviews. Quiet Pods can be booked by anyone with a RRC Polytech ID card through the Quiet Pod booking system.

Do not leave your belongings unattended in a Study Room or Quiet Pod.
Unattended belongings will be collected by Security staff and added to the Lost & Found for a limited time.

Outside the Library

At NDC, the Students' Association offers two bookable rooms (link) for students: The Den (CM75E) and The Club Hub (CM75D).

There are no bookable spaces available at the John and Bonnie Buhler Library and Lower Learning Commons -- Exchange District Campus (Roblin Centre).

Though not bookable, there are a number of spaces throughout the Roblin Centre and Manitou a bi Bii Daziigae (link) that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The largest space is the John and Bonnie Buhler Learning Commons -- an ideal space for groupwork. Inquire at a Security desk or consult the interactive campus map (link) for location information.
