How can I share a DVD from the Library collection with my students?

Can DVD's in the library be digitized for online viewing / streaming?

I want my class to view a video online, but it's only available as a physical DVD. What do I do?

Answer

You can still borrow DVD's from the Library to show in class. When looking for videos that physically exist in our Libraries, filter OneSearch results by 'Physical item in the Library.' Follow the call number to the corresponding shelf. For more details, see the 'Books, Videos, Journals' page.

You can borrow a portable USB connected DVD/BluRay player. Book one through the Libraries online equipment booking system, and pick it up at the same time as the DVD.

Interested in sharing streaming video content with your students? Instructors, can fill out the Video Scheduling Request Form if you want to access physical videos through streaming, or to temporarily increase the number of viewers for streamed videos with restrictions.

For more instructor supports please go to the "Faculty Support" page on the Library website.
