Answer

There are printers located within the computer areas at both NDC and EDC Libraries, as well as placed at various points around the campus.

Printers have identifiers on them that correspond to print drivers within the the campus printer directory.

How to print in the Library

At Notre Dame Campus students can print from Library computers or with USBs directly with the Library printer (PDF files only).

At the Exchange District Campus students can print from campus computers, USBs, or from personal laptops by installing papercut and the printer driver on their laptops. This option is called Web Print

Wireless printing is not currently available at either campus.

Print Account

Before you can print on campus, you need to first add credit/money to your printing account (PaperCut account). You can add credit three ways:

  1. Online using a credit card through your HUB > Print Account.
  2. In-person at the campus bookstore.
  3. Using the Papercut machines located in the atrium of EDC campus next to the elevators; and at NDC campus across of the bookstore, outside the buffalo lunch room.

Please carefully review the fees for printing, scanning and copying to ensure you add enough credit to your papercut account.

How to Print from your Laptop

Your can print directly to Library printers from your personal laptop (if you have a stable WIFI connection). Set up requires two steps:

Step 1: Install Papercut software on your laptop

Step 2: Add the printer to your laptop

SCANNING

Can my friend pay for my printing?

If you need to print from someone else's print account, you would need to share the document in some form with the person printing from their account that they could then open it from their own accounts when logged on to a campus computer.

It must be the same account used continuously to send the document to the printer, and then log on at the Xerox machine to release the print job.
