Answer
There are several alternatives to having your student card, depending on what you need to accomplish while at the Library:
Visiting the Library
You do not need to show an ID card to enter and use the Notre Dame Campus (NDC) Library space.
Exchange District Campus (EDC) does require a RRC ID cards to enter the campus. Visitors (who are not otherwise affiliated with the College) who wish to use the Library will need to state that purpose to Security when entering the building.
Borrowing Equipment / Physical Resources
Present Library staff with a piece of government issued photo ID instead of your RRC Polytech ID card.
When on campus, use your ID card for Printing, Photocopying; Borrowing items from the Library; Swipe access to rooms like the Fitness Centre; for Post-secondary bus pass use.
If you don't have your Student ID card, try these situational alternatives:
- For Xerox machines (Release print jobs, photocopy, etc), select "alternative log-in" and type your RRC username and password
- Instead of Swipe Access, call Security to request access (NDC ) 204-632-2323, (EDC) 204-949-8305
- For Fitness Centre entry, sign in using the RRC Polytech Well-Being app
NOTE: There is no alternative for your RRC Polytech student ID card for students using Winnipeg Transit Post-Secondary Peggo passes. Student cards must show their student ID card with current date sticker each ride.
