What is the process to request exam accommodations?
Answer
Information for Current Students:
If you are not yet registered with Student Accessibility Services, your first step is to request an intake meeting with an Accessibility Specialist. You can meet with an Accessibility Specialist either over the phone or via Microsoft Teams or WebEx. In person meetings are available upon request.
Note: Academic accommodations, including exam accommodations, are only available to students with documented disabilities, and in some cases, suspected disabilities. Refer to the Student Accessibility Services Documentation Guide for additional information.
Once approved for exam accommodations, please sign onto the Student Accessibility Services Portal and carefully read and approve/submit the Student Responsibility form. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours to be processed and until then, you will be unable to book exams. You only need to submit this form ONCE per academic year.
For students already approved for exam accommodations, use the Student Accessibility Services Portal to submit a request for accommodations for each quiz/test/exam.

Information for Language Testing:
Students with diagnosed disabilities can receive accommodations (referred to as “adaptations” in high school) for Password Skills testing.
Prior to booking your assessment, you must first book an appointment with Accessibility Services to determine your eligibility. To book an appointment, complete this form. In this appointment you are required to provide adequate documentation verifying your disability. For documentation guidelines see the disability documentation guide. Together with your counsellor, an accommodation plan for your Password Skills test will be made. Information about accommodations for a future program can also be explored.
