Streaming videos using the video.rrc.ca URL fail with the error message html5: Unsupported video format. Try installing Adobe Flash.
We are investigating the problem.
Update: Our streaming video provider has fixed the issue. Videos should now be streaming normally.
On Tuesday 22 February 2022, RRC Polytech's ShareStream video server will undergo necessary maintenance. This will result in an outage of video streaming for 3-5 hours on 22 February.
Important: The maintenance will cause an outage of videos that stream through URLS containing "video.rrc.ca". The links to the affected videos are typically found in the Library OneSearch online catalogue, and in Learn Courses.
Please note, it is only videos that have "video.rrc.ca" in their URL that will be affected. Videos that stream from other college video systems will not be affected.

Update Wednesday 23 February: Users still see a "loginEror" message when tryuing to view a video. We are hoping the software vendor is able to quickly fix this issue.

College systems are down, as the Merlin network has lost connectivity. Any system hosted on college is unavailable
Library Proxy and Library Streaming video are affected.
Note: Service was restored at approximately 3PM.
Our streaming video server will be undergoing maintenance from 8AM-12PM Central time. Users may see interruption of videos served via the hostname video.rrc.ca.

Students cannot login to watch ShareStream videos. ShareStream support is working on a resolution.

Sharestream requires a maintenance period on Friday 9 October, 2020, from 7am-9am CT.
Videos that stream through the video.rrc.ca URL may not work in this time period.
Videos may not stream during the maintenance window of 2PM-3PM on Tuesday 23 June 2020.
Only videos streamed via video.rrc.ca will be affected.
